When I was younger I was a nut for the hardcore scene.
From ages 16.5 - 21 it consumed my life, partially because I thought it was the most exciting thing I had ever seen and partially because I hated the default control settings of my hometown and intuitively sensed that there was something freaky and cool going on on the fringes.
